I've heard this song on radio recently and I've never really been a fan of this group but I really like this song it holds so much truth!  The saying "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me." is such a lie.  It is more accurate to say - Sticks and stones may break my bones but words can break my heart (spirit).   I thought this a fitting song for this blog since the theme is The Word (God's words to us) and our words should always be as edifying to other people and glorying to God as The Word is!

Thanks for sharing. I don't listen to a lot of CCM, but the words to this song are very powerful - words themselves are very powerful!!
Something to always keep in mind.

Thank you for the comment Samantha! It is so true that words are very powerful and I'm learning everyday just how much more true it is that I've thought before. Especially when those words in submission to the leading of the Holy Spirit. If we are in fellowship with God He will give us the words to say, He will also let us know when to be silent.

I have been listening to CCM since I was a teenager, but have been very selective of what groups and songs I listen to and endorse.
